COD Black Ops 2

Just days after the release of Call of Duty: MW3, gamers are looking to the future and pondering the possibility of a COD Black Ops 2 in 2012.

It has become a common expectancy in recent years to see a new Call of Duty title released each year, whether that be from Treyarch or Infinity Ward – and after the huge success of Black Ops becoming the biggest selling game of all time in 2010 (selling over 13m copies worldwide – with a whopping 5.6 million of these sales coming within 24 hours of COD Black Ops release!), it really should come as no surprise that gamers are already looking forward at the possibility of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

You may remember several months ago we revealed that Xbox Magazine predicted Black Ops 2, speculating that Treyarch would almost certainly be releasing another COD game in 2012, and Black Ops 2 seemed like the most likely title.

The suggestion for COD Black Ops 2 does raise some question marks, though. Does the storyline of Black Ops have enough life in it to create a second campaign? Following mixed reviews from gamers after the release of BO2 (despite astonishing sales figures), would a sequel to the smash hit prove as popular as it’s predecessor? We want to hear your thoughts.

One thing is certain though, with Call of Duty: MW3 now released, within a few months COD fanatics will be searching for the next big thing to look forward too – and we’re not writing off the possibility of COD BO2 just yet…

    hope they make it but at the same time to make changes something better and increase all improvements like battle filed bad company on MW3 is the same stuff hope they make something different on blackops 2

    Black ops was such a let down. They only had immense sales figures due to one of the greatest games air all time being realised a year pervious in the cod series, I think they should form black ops 2 and bring out a totall new title. Sorry treyarch, but infinity ward is currently a million miles ahead

        mw3 isnt even close to what 3arc did with black ops!!?? black ops is MILES ahead of anything that has come out since… bf3, and mw3 just flat out suck. warning to everyone else dont waste 60 dollars for bf3 or mw3, so not worth it!

      ur so stupid man. black ops had the best multiplayer yet. they couldve used more killstreaks but its harder to make a game on a war tht happened quite a while back than to make a future war(world war3). so the fact tht they made a better multiplayer being limited to guns and killstreaks makes them way ahead of infinity ward.

    They have already confirmed that Black Ops 2 will come out but its not going to be called Black Ops 2 it will be called Call of Duty 8 Iron Wolf.

    id take the black ops over mw3 mplayer any day. more vibrant colors, AI in multiplayer FFA or TDM, diving, less absurd amounts of quickscoping, and a more fun mplayer environment.

    i do love spec ops, and the new “horde” mode, but in terms of fun, black ops still has my vote.

    who cares, as long as the mutiplayer is better than the orignal, mw3 is so ” DISAPPOINTING” i could have saved nearly £40 and stayed with black ops. much better graphicly and pretty much in every other respect.

    I’d definatley buy Black Ops 2. I cant rush no one no more because extreme conditioning aint marathon pro and tooooooo many campers in mw3 sorry but the maps are too stuffed with terrible spawns and i have a k/d of 2.31 on BO and an k/d of 3.11 on Mw3 but id prefer bo2

    Who cares about the campaign play…Black Ops online play is so awesome! I like how it’s different than Modern Warfare 3 too.

    Black Ops 2 would be great game, me personally I loved Black Ops in my opinion it was the best COD game yet behind that would be WAW but I like MW3 so far.

    i was disappointed with the multiplayer of mw3 compared to that on black ops. Maps are much better on bop, the menu’s are much easier to navigate and of course you can dive! The player cards are dross on mw3, they look like they’ve been lifted straight out of an Amiga game! Mw3 is far from being terrible but despite maybe smoother in game graphics it somehow feels like its gone backward from black ops.. Def should have used treyarch for mw3. Black ops 2 would be def buy!

    i’m looking forward to this even though is a long time to go. either way infinity ward sucks they made millions from mw2 and they couldn’t get different servers for mw3? mw3 sucks imo. treyarch better make it.

    3arc made bo and it was a success. in my opinion it was way better than mw3. i love how bo had way more colorful maps. i would really like it if the multiplayer was more interactive and tht they had more killstreaks to choose from. killstreaks for seperate classes was a good idea. also, by interactive i mean tht yu can actually destroy buildings but its not as easy as on bfb games. it would be cool if yu took down a chopper and it crashes into a building causing the building to dramatically fall over. i would also like this because some maps have a lot of buildings and airsupport seems pretty much useless. so if yu had lets say an ac-130 or other explosive type of weapon tht yu can just demolish buildings and the campers inside. these are just a few ideas tht i hope treyarch sees.

    I really wish treyarch would just put out a BO2 right now cuz I’m pissed I traded in BO for MW3! It’s,ok and has a few cool features but BO had better maps and player cards were better and just more fun overall. I’m probably gonna trade MW3 in to get back my BO and just play that till BO2 comes out…

    Black ops is a good game but MW series is amazing, i would buy black ops 2 but only if it has zombies, the best part of black ops is the zombies, they should make the multilayer better, becuz it was disappointing but yet i still love it, anyway lets give a hand for black ops 2
